Welcome to my website, which is here largely as an assignment for Dr. Barry O'Sullivan, and which also serves to introduce me and some of my interests, and some of the stuff I do here at UCC.
Apparently for this assignment I'm required to have a mailto link on this page. However, as you may have spotted, this link is deliberately broken to foil spammers' bots that trawl the web for mailto links. If you really do want to mail me, you can do so at see jay bee at see jay bee dot aieeee (and if any spammer's bot can figure that one out, I'll be very impressed).
In keeping with the tradition I have just begun of meeting the letter of the
requirements for this assignment, note that, despite appearances, each page on
this site does use a background image...
it just happens to be an all-white 1x1 pixel image occupying a very
extravagant 110 bytes, because I don't like images that waste bandwidth and
make the text of a page hard to read (especially animated gifs!).
To add to the pointlessness of this image, I have also set the background
colour of each page that it's on to be white.
(update: I removed the background image because some browsers started chewing ram like nobody's business tiling the 1x1).
